At Rustic Canyon Ranch we inspire the ability to reconnect with nature, ones inner self and strengths to explore and expand human potential in areas of body, mind and spirit through powerful experiences with our gentle rescue horses.
Our purpose is to provide the community and it's neighbors with experiential opportunities to gain a better sense of leadership, confidence, awareness, compassion and intention for stepping into one's greater life. Creating an environment for positive change in communication and relationship building.

8: Aug. 15 –Aug. 18 Beginner/Intermediate
9: Aug. 24 –Aug. 27 Intermediate/Advanced
10: Aug. 29 –Sept. 01 Open to all campers
*Open to all campers - no horse experience required
*Beginner/Intermediate - prior horse experience required
*Intermediate/Advanced - 3 or more weeks of camp required or equivelant

CAMP JOSEPHO
Rustic Canyon Ranch is nestled on 110 acres of majestic wooded Santa Monica Mountains inside Historic Camp Josepho.
Where the mountains meet the sea centrally located just a few miles from Santa Monica, West Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley. Here you will find yourself beneath 100 year old California Oak and Sycamore trees overlooking season creeks as the canyons families of deer, fox and wild parrots join you for a moment of serene nature living.
In the heart of this nature wonderland lies Camp Josopho’s Malibu Lodge. Built in 1941 as a two story, redwood clapboard-sided Craftsman Lodge outfitted with a dining hall, kitchen, conference room and 5 guest rooms. The setting for a perfect rustic weekend getaway or retreat.
The facility also has 15 cabins, 7 campsites including 2 Family Camp sites, newly renovated BBQ and picnic area, an Olympic sized pool, an amphitheater with a center camp fire ring and trail heads to some of Santa Monica Mountain’s most beautiful hiking/biking trails.
